Colorado is a member of WIDA (World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment), fully adopting WIDA in 2013. WIDA is a consortium of states dedicated to the design and implementation of high standards and equitable educational opportunities for English language learners which offers states programming for identifying and annually assessing the English language development of its English learners.

Here at GLA students can receive English Language Development instruction during a regular class period and usually receive course credit.  Our program model is one that is tailored to meet the linguistic, academic, and affective needs of students; providing students with the instruction necessary to allow them to progress through school at a rate commensurate with their native-English-speaking peers.
